JEMBER – Bupati Jember, Hendy Siswanto, merilis buku saku capaian kinerja yang memuat rekam jejak kepemimpinannya sejak dilantik pada 26 Februari 2021 hingga pertengahan tahun 2024.
Buku ini merupakan bentuk pertanggungjawaban moral dan material Bupati Hendy kepada masyarakat Jember.
“Buku ini berisi apa yang sudah kami kerjakan selama ini. Tentu, ini belum sempurna, belum maksimal. Namun, seluruh janji politik kami sudah kami kerjakan,” ujar Hendy.
Ia menjelaskan bahwa kondisi awal pemerintahannya dihadapkan pada situasi sulit, yaitu Pandemi COVID-19 dan kondisi birokrasi yang kurang optimal.
“Tahun 2021, kami fokus pada penanganan COVID-19 dan perbaikan tata kelola pemerintahan. Baru setelah itu, kami fokus pada pembangunan infrastruktur yang rusak parah,” terangnya.
Bupati Hendy mengakui bahwa keterbatasan anggaran dan waktu menjadi kendala dalam mencapai hasil maksimal.
Namun, ia menegaskan bahwa buku saku ini menjadi bukti komitmennya untuk membangun Jember.
“Buku ini kami sebarkan kepada seluruh masyarakat Jember. Kami ingin masyarakat tahu apa yang sudah kami kerjakan, dan apa yang masih perlu diperbaiki,” imbuhnya.
Hendy juga mengajak masyarakat untuk berpartisipasi dalam pembangunan Jember.
“Konsep yang saya usung adalah sinergi dan kolaborasi. Kita bisa berkolaborasi jika kita terbuka. Masyarakat bisa menilai kami, apakah kami masih layak memimpin Jember, apakah kami masih layak melayani masyarakat,” katanya.
Hendy berharap buku saku ini dapat menjadi bahan evaluasi dan masukan baginya dalam menjalankan roda pemerintahan ke depan.
