JEMBER – Ketua Fraksi NasDem DPRD Jember, David Handoko Seto, mengucapkan selamat atas pelantikan Gus Fawait dan Djoko Susanto sebagai Bupati dan Wakil Bupati Jember periode 2025-2030.
Pelantikan tersebut akan berlangsung di Istana Kepresidenan Jakarta pada Kamis, 20 Februari 2025, bersama dengan 481 kepala daerah lainnya di Indonesia.
Dalam keterangannya, David menyebut kemenangan pasangan Fawait-Djoko sebagai harapan baru bagi masyarakat Jember.
Ia optimistis di bawah kepemimpinan Gus Fawait-Djoko, Jember akan mengalami perubahan signifikan menuju kemajuan dan kesejahteraan.
“Selamat datang pemimpin perubahan menuju Jember Baru, Jember maju, Jember barokah. Kenapa saya sebut Jember barokah? Insya Allah dengan Bupati santri dan wakil bupati seorang mantan pejabat profesional, Jember akan semakin maju, semakin barokah,” ujar David.
Menurutnya, sebagai kota santri, Jember membutuhkan pemimpin yang memahami dunia pondok pesantren dan memiliki pengalaman dalam pemerintahan.
Sosok Gus Fawait yang pernah menjabat sebagai anggota DPRD Jawa Timur selama dua periode dinilai memiliki kapasitas mumpuni untuk membawa Jember ke arah lebih baik.
“Gus Fawait bukan orang baru dalam pemerintahan, beliau memiliki pengalaman yang tidak kaleng-kaleng. Relasi beliau di tingkat pusat, baik di kementerian maupun di DPR RI, akan menjadi modal besar untuk pembangunan Jember ke depan,” tambahnya.
Lebih lanjut, David menekankan pentingnya sinergi antara Gus Fawait sebagai Bupati Jember dengan pemerintahan pusat yang dipimpin oleh Presiden Prabowo Subianto serta Gubernur Jawa Timur, Khofifah Indar Parawansa.
Ia yakin kolaborasi tersebut akan mempercepat pembangunan dan menjadikan Jember lebih maju.
Sebagai Ketua Garda Pemuda NasDem dan Baret Rescue, David juga menegaskan bahwa para relawan dari berbagai elemen telah berjuang sejak lama untuk kemenangan Fawait-Djoko.
Kini, perjuangan tersebut akan berlanjut dalam bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat.
“Perjuangan sudah kita lakukan, dan Insya Allah setelah pelantikan pada 20 Februari, kita akan memulai pengabdian. Kita akan memperjuangkan bersama-sama agar Jember menjadi lebih baik, Jember maju, dan Jember barokah,” pungkasnya.
Pelantikan Fawait-Djoko sebagai kepala daerah Jember menjadi bagian dari agenda nasional yang akan melantik total 481 kepala daerah, terdiri dari 33 gubernur, 364 bupati, dan 84 wali kota.
Sementara itu, beberapa daerah yang masih dalam sengketa hasil Pemilu akan menjalani proses lebih lanjut sebelum pelantikan resmi dilakukan.
