JEMBER – Kasus pemusnahan Kopi Milo di Desa Pace, Kecamatan Silo, Kabupaten Jember, Jawa Timur, terus bergulir.
Kemarin, Jumat (5/4/2024), sejumlah petani melaporkan ulah kepala desa (Kades) yang telah membabat habis varietas Kopi Robusta Milo Pace ini ke Polres Jember.
Mereka bersama seorang kuasa hukum bernama Alananto, yang nantinya bakal terus mendampingi kasus ini hingga tuntas.
Alananto mengatakan, pelaporan tersebut merupakan tindakan serius para petani terkait pembabatan Kopi Milo Pace.
“Polres Jember telah menerima dengan baik dan sudah dapat surat tanda laporannya,” ujar Alananto.
Laporan tersebut, kata Alananto, tentang Pasal 170 KUHP juncto Pasal 406, yang mana nanti ada perkembangan Pasal.
“Karena di penyidikan terkait dengan tindak pidana pencuriannya, dan karena tanaman yang dirusak kini hilang, tidak tahu di mana rimbanya,” pungkasnya.
Sebagaimana diketahui, Kepala Desa Pace bersama perangkatnya diduga membabat habis varietas Kopi Robusta Milo Pace pada Senin, 19 Februari 2024.
Padahal varietas tersebut telah memiliki sertifikat dengan nomor 2103/PVL/2023, tertanggal 20 Oktober 2023.
Yang mendaftarkan ke Pusat Perlindungan Varietas Tanaman dan Perizinan adalah Bupati Jember, Hendy Siswanto.
Akibat pembabatan tersebut kopi kebanggaan masyarakat Jember ini telah tiada.
Sementara, Kepala Desa Pace, Muhammad Farohan, belum bisa dihubungi awak media hingga berita ini terbit.
