JEMBER – Seorang pria asal Lumajang babak belur setelah diamuk massa di Dusun Krajan, Desa Ngampelrejo, Kecamatan Jombang, Jember, Senin (9/12/2024) malam.
Ia kepergok hendak mencuri sepeda motor milik temannya sendiri.
Video peristiwa tersebut viral di media sosial WhatsApp dan Facebook.
Peristiwa bermula saat korban sedang melaksanakan salat Magrib.
Mengira situasi aman, terduga pelaku langsung beraksi menghidupkan motor korban.
Korban yang mendengar suara sepeda motornya langsung berteriak maling.
Sontak hal itu membuat terduga pelaku panik hingga bergegas melarikan diri.
Nahas, terduga pelaku terjatuh setibanya di rel kereta api, tidak jauh dari rumah korban.
Saat itulah satu terduga pelaku tertangkap massa, sedangkan satu orang lagi melarikan diri ke ladang tebu.
“Terduga pelaku yang lari ke tebuan belum ketemu sampai saat ini,” ucap Kepala Desa Ngampelrejo, Nasyihudin.
Diketahui kemudian, pria yang tertangkap tersebut berinisial Y.
Dia diduga hendak mencuri sepeda motor Honda BeAT milik temannya di desa itu.
Sepeda motor terduga pelaku, Honda Supra, dan motor yang diduga hendak dicuri kini diamankan di Mapolsek Jombang.
Massa yang geram karena wilayahnya sering menjadi sasaran pencurian, sempat hendak membakar terduga pelaku hidup-hidup.
“Kami bawa langsung terduga pelaku ke Mapolsek, karena massa sempat anarkis dan akan membakar hidup-hidup karena mereka geram di daerah kami sering terjadi pencurian,” ungkap Kades Nasyihudin.
Di sisi lain, Kapolsek Jombang, AKP Adam, membenarkan kejadian tersebut.
“Sekilas kami tanya terduga pelaku warga Lumajang berinisial Y, dan sekarang dibawa resmob wilayah barat untuk dikembangkan,” ujarnya.
Pihak kepolisian kini tengah mendata pelaku pelaku dan berkolaborasi dengan tim Buru Sergap Polres Jember untuk menangkap terduga pelaku lainnya dan mengungkap jaringan pencurian tersebut.
