JAKARTA – Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo menegaskan kesiapan Polri dalam mengawal pelaksanaan Pilkada Serentak 2024 yang akan digelar pada Rabu, 27 November 2024.
Dalam pernyataannya di Mabes Polri, Senin (25/11/2024), Kapolri memastikan seluruh aspek teknis dan keamanan telah dipersiapkan untuk menjamin kelancaran pesta demokrasi tersebut.
“Kami telah melakukan koordinasi intensif untuk memastikan bahwa wilayah-wilayah dengan potensi kerawanan tinggi dapat terpantau dan terjaga keamanannya. Semua pihak harus memastikan Pilkada berjalan damai dan lancar,” ujar Kapolri.
Kapolri mengungkapkan bahwa distribusi logistik Pilkada, termasuk ke wilayah terluar, terpencil, dan terdampak bencana, telah dipastikan berjalan aman.
Wilayah-wilayah seperti Papua serta daerah dengan kandidat tunggal atau pasangan calon ganda menjadi perhatian khusus.
“Polri bersama TNI mengoptimalkan pengamanan, terutama untuk mengantisipasi potensi gangguan keamanan seperti konflik sosial dan bencana alam,” tambahnya.
Patroli pengawasan juga digencarkan untuk mencegah praktik politik uang yang dapat mencederai integritas Pilkada. Kapolri menegaskan bahwa langkah ini dilakukan agar proses Pilkada berjalan bersih dan demokratis.
“Patroli ini penting untuk memastikan tidak ada tindakan-tindakan yang melanggar hukum atau etika dalam Pilkada. Kami ingin menciptakan pemilu yang bersih, berintegritas, dan demokratis,” tegas Kapolri.
Kapolri juga mengajak masyarakat untuk berpartisipasi aktif dengan menjadi pemilih cerdas dan menggunakan hak pilihnya di tempat pemungutan suara (TPS) pada hari pencoblosan.
“Kami mengajak seluruh masyarakat untuk menjadi pemilih yang cerdas. Pilihlah berdasarkan hati nurani dan pengamatan, bukan karena pengaruh atau tekanan dari pihak mana pun,” pesan Kapolri.
Dalam acara yang dihadiri Ketua KPU, Ketua Bawaslu, dan Ketua DKPP, Kapolri memberikan apresiasi atas sinergi semua pihak.
Ia yakin kolaborasi antara penyelenggara pemilu, TNI, dan Polri menjadi kunci sukses Pilkada Serentak 2024.
“Kami siap menangani berbagai potensi gangguan, baik dari sisi keamanan maupun teknis. Dengan dukungan semua pihak, Pilkada serentak ini akan menjadi momen bersejarah untuk bangsa,” tutup Kapolri.
