SUMENEP – Dalam upaya mendukung program swasembada pangan, Kapolres Sumenep AKBP Henri Noveri Santoso bersama Pejabat Utama (PJU) Polres Sumenep dan Bhayangkari Cabang Sumenep menggelar kegiatan penaburan bibit ikan lele di kolam milik Polres Sumenep, Kamis (7/11/2024).
Kegiatan yang berlangsung di halaman belakang Mapolres Sumenep ini bertujuan untuk mendukung ketahanan pangan sekaligus mengedukasi masyarakat tentang budidaya perikanan sebagai sumber pangan bergizi dan bernilai ekonomi.
“Kali ini kita edukasi terkait potensi budidaya ikan yang dapat dikembangkan di lingkungan sekitar,” ujar AKBP Henri.
Ia menambahkan bahwa kegiatan ini merupakan bentuk komitmen Polres Sumenep untuk mendukung upaya pemerintah mewujudkan swasembada pangan di Indonesia.
Kapolres berharap kolam ikan Polres Sumenep dapat menjadi contoh bagi masyarakat untuk turut serta dalam membudidayakan ikan lele, baik di lahan perorangan maupun di lingkungan sekitar.
“Kami berharap kolam ikan di Polres Sumenep ini dapat menjadi contoh yang baik bagi masyarakat,” katanya.
Selain itu, AKBP Henri juga menekankan pentingnya sinergi antara Polres, Bhayangkari, dan masyarakat dalam meningkatkan ketahanan pangan.
Dengan dukungan dari Bhayangkari Cabang Sumenep, kegiatan ini diharapkan bisa memberikan inspirasi bagi warga untuk turut mengembangkan sektor perikanan.
“Dengan semakin berkembangnya sektor perikanan, diharapkan dapat menciptakan peluang ekonomi baru, membuka lapangan pekerjaan, serta meningkatkan ketersediaan pangan yang berkualitas di Kabupaten Sumenep,” pungkasnya.
Melalui program penaburan bibit ikan ini, Polres Sumenep menunjukkan kepedulian terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat dan ikut serta dalam upaya menciptakan ketahanan pangan yang kuat di Kabupaten Sumenep.
