JEMBER – Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) Kabupaten Jember tak main-main dalam memastikan legalitas usaha pergadaian di wilayahnya.
Melalui sosialisasi yang digelar di Ballroom Hotel Java Lotus, OJK memberikan edukasi dan panduan lengkap tentang perizinan usaha pergadaian.
“Hal ini kita lakukan segera karena pemilik usaha biar paham tata cara perizinan dan memang harus berizin usaha pergadaian ini, maka dari itu kami dari OJK melakukan sosialisasi dan mengundang semua pihak untuk lakukan bedah tuntas hal ini,” tegas Kepala OJK Jember, Mohammad Mufid.
Sosialisasi ini merupakan tindak lanjut dari amanat Undang-Undang Nomor 4 tahun 2023 tentang Pengembangan dan Penguatan Sektor Keuangan (UU P2SK).
Peserta sosialisasi terdiri dari para pelaku usaha pergadaian di wilayah Sekar Kijang.
Tak hanya pemaparan dari OJK, narasumber dari Satgas Pasti (Satuan Tugas Penanganan Kegiatan Usaha Tanpa Izin Di Sektor Keuangan Yang Berkedudukan Di Daerah) dan PPGI (Perkumpulan Perusahaan Gadai Indonesia) juga memberikan informasi penting tentang potensi dan risiko kegiatan usaha tanpa izin di sektor keuangan, serta persyaratan dan proses sertifikasi Penaksir.
Mohammad Mufid menekankan bahwa memiliki izin usaha dari OJK memberikan banyak keuntungan bagi pelaku usaha pergadaian.
“Adanya kepastian hukum bagi pelaku usaha, meningkatkan kepercayaan masyarakat kepada usaha Pergadaian, serta memastikan bahwa kegiatan usaha pergadaian berjalan sesuai aturan,” paparnya.
Lebih lanjut, Mufid juga melihat potensi besar dari bisnis pergadaian.
“Layanan jasa gadai merupakan usaha yang memiliki prospek yang baik karena sifat bisnisnya yang sederhana, mudah, dan cepat, memberikan keunggulan layanan jasa keuangan kepada masyarakat menengah ke bawah yang membutuhkan alternatif sumber pendanaan yang praktis sesuai dengan kondisi saat ini,” jelas Mufid.
OJK Jember, bersama pelaku usaha pergadaian dan PPGI, berkomitmen untuk mendorong pertumbuhan usaha dan ekosistem gadai yang berkelanjutan, transparan, akuntabel, serta dapat memberikan layanan finansial yang baik kepada masyarakat.
